🔎 Investigate this event

On February 12, 2026, Israeli military forces opened fire in parts of the Gaza Strip despite an existing ceasefire, resulting in new casualties among Palestinian civilians. Medical sources in Gaza reported that three Palestinians, including two children and a woman, were wounded by Israeli gunfire in southern Gaza near Khan Younis, and were transported to a hospital for treatment.

In separate incidents across the Gaza Strip, Palestinian media reported that two Palestinians were killed by Israeli gunfire in the Zarqa area of the al‑Tuffah neighbourhood in Gaza City. Several others were injured in the same area after Israeli forces opened fire on civilians. Ambulances attempting to reach the wounded were reported to have come under fire.

In the Zeitoun neighbourhood of Gaza City, children were wounded by fire from an Israeli drone, and samples of artillery shelling were reported in the area. These clashes come amid continuing tensions and sporadic violence in different parts of the coastal enclave, even as humanitarian groups work to deliver aid and uphold the ceasefire agreement.
