Israeli soldiers arrested over burial incident

Two Israeli soldiers were arrested after allegedly ordering a bulldozer to bury four Palestinian youths in piles of dirt following a protest in the West Bank, according to military officials in Jerusalem. The incident occurred on February 5, 1988, and the youths were later rescued.

An army spokesperson stated that the head of Central Command, Gen. Amram Mitzna, ordered a military police investigation with high priority. Officials confirmed that two soldiers had been taken into custody and additional arrests were expected as the investigation continued.
