Zwi Migdal was a criminal organization active mainly in Argentina from the late 19th century until the 1930s.

It was composed largely of Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe

The group was primarily involved in human trafficking and forced prostitution, targeting vulnerable Jewish women, often deceiving them with false promises of marriage or work.

Many victims were brought to Argentina and forced into brothels controlled by the organization, especially in Buenos Aires.

Zwi Migdal developed a highly organized structure, with networks that extended across countries, including recruitment operations in Europe and brothel management in South America.

Members of the organization often used bribery and corruption to avoid law enforcement, allowing them to operate for decades.

The group became powerful and influential within certain criminal circles, even establishing mutual aid systems among members.

Its downfall began in the late 1920s, largely due to the efforts of victims who spoke out, most notably Raquel Liberman, whose testimony helped expose the organization.

In 1930, Argentine authorities took action, leading to arrests and the eventual dismantling of the network.

Zwi Migdal remains a historical example of organized crime and human trafficking, and its story highlights the importance of vigilance against exploitation and abuse.
