Financial records and public statements confirmed that Epstein invested in ventures linked to Barak, including Carbyne, an emergency response and surveillance technology company with security and defense applications. Barak acknowledged both the social relationship and the financial connection, stating that the interactions were related to business and occurred without knowledge of Epstein’s alleged criminal activities involving minors. Barak was not charged with any offense, and his inclusion in public reporting reflects documented social and financial associations.
