Ori Solomon released ahead of trial in Las Vegas illegal biolab case

Ori Solomon, 55, has been identified as the property manager of a Las Vegas residence where authorities uncovered a suspected illegal biological laboratory. Federal and local law enforcement executed a search warrant at the home in northeast Las Vegas in late January 2026. More than 1,000 samples of biological material and laboratory equipment were seized and sent for forensic analysis. The investigation involved the FBI and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Solomon faces state charges related to the handling of hazardous waste and a federal firearms charge due to his visa status. During court proceedings, a federal magistrate judge ordered Solomon’s release on his own recognisance, with travel restrictions and surrender of his passport ahead of trial. Solomon holds **Israeli and French passports** and was in the U.S. on a temporary visa.

Investigators clarified that the **owner of the Las Vegas property is a Chinese national**, previously arrested in 2023 in connection with a separate unauthorized biolab in Reedley, California. Materials seized from the Las Vegas site are undergoing laboratory analysis to determine their nature. Authorities have stated that there is **no immediate public safety threat** from the materials recovered at the scene.

He was released by Magistrate Judge Elayna J. Youchah<>
