Spread of Buddhism via Silk Road

Buddhism spread into China primarily through cultural and trade exchanges along the Silk Road. Merchants, monks, and travelers introduced Buddhist teachings and texts during the first centuries CE.

The transmission facilitated religious and philosophical interactions between Indian, Central Asian, and Chinese cultures, eventually leading to the establishment of Buddhist monasteries and practices throughout China.
