Aurelian Reunites Roman Empire

In late September, Emperor Aurelian engaged and defeated the forces of the breakaway Gallic Empire near Châlons-en-Champagne. This victory effectively ended the secession of Gaul and reestablished central control over the western provinces.

The battle was pivotal in restoring the territorial integrity of the Roman Empire, which had been fragmented during the Crisis of the Third Century. Following his triumph, Aurelian continued consolidating power and strengthening imperial unity.
