Judea Declares War on Germany

On March 24, 1933, the British newspaper Daily Express published a front-page headline reading “JUDEA DECLARES WAR ON GERMANY: Jews of All the World Unite.” The article reported on international Jewish protests and planned economic boycotts of German goods in response to early Nazi policies. This was a newspaper report; no governmental or sovereign entity named “Judea” formally declared war.
