Financial backers of Hitler in 1933
In early 1933, Adolf Hitler received financial support from multiple sources as he rose to power in Germany. Major contributions came from industrialists, corporations, and ordinary Nazi Party members. According to a Life magazine report, two general managers of large Berlin banks, both of Jewish faith, provided some funding to stabilize industry during political turmoil.
After Hitler became Chancellor on January 30, 1933, the German government allocated state funds to the Nazi Party for propaganda and administration. These combined sources of financing helped the party consolidate power in its first months in office.
