Rabbi and counselor Shaya Lunger was released on bond on April 21, 2026, following a second arrest connected to separate allegations involving two teenage girls. Authorities stated that the cases are being handled as distinct investigations and remain ongoing.
According to law enforcement, the second arrest involved allegations that Lunger inappropriately touched a 14-year-old girl in Miami in 2021 after offering her a ride to a store. Police stated that the allegation was reported after the complainant became aware of an earlier investigation involving another individual.
The earlier case involved allegations from a separate complainant who was 15 years old at the time of the reported events. Investigators alleged that Lunger entered the girl’s room, made comments about her appearance, and engaged in physical contact including hugging and kissing. That case led to an initial arrest in March 2026.
Lunger’s attorney denied the allegations and stated that the charges will be contested in court. As of the bond release date, the allegations had not been proven, and the legal proceedings remained active.
