Colombia — Lev Tahor Sect, 17 Children

Colombian authorities removed 17 children from the Lev Tahor sect following reports from international child protection agencies regarding neglect and coercive practices within the community.

The children were transferred to state care for assessment. Sect representatives denied wrongdoing, claiming the children were raised according to the sect’s internal rules and traditions.

Authorities initiated legal proceedings to determine custody and potential accountability of adults involved.
