Guðni Th Johannesson Visiting The Western Wall

On June 17, 2020, President Guðni Th. Jóhannesson of Iceland visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem. The visit took place during an international gathering of heads of state attending the World Holocaust Forum to mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz‑Birkenau.

Jóhannesson prayed at the wall and observed local customs at the site. Photographs and media coverage documented his presence alongside other world leaders who visited the Kotel on that date.
