On February 6, 2020, actor Corey Feldman premiered his self-produced documentary, “(My) Truth: The Rape of 2 Coreys,” in which he alleged that he and late actor Corey Haim were victims of sexual abuse within the Hollywood entertainment industry during the 1980s and 1990s.

The film, released via a live-streamed event, expanded on years of public statements by Feldman claiming that powerful individuals in Hollywood enabled or participated in abuse involving underage actors. Feldman described what he characterized as a culture of silence, intimidation, and institutional protection that he said shielded alleged abusers from accountability.

In the documentary, Feldman named individuals he accused of misconduct. Some of those individuals denied the allegations, and no broad criminal conspiracy involving Hollywood figures has been established through court findings. Legal experts noted that many alleged incidents described in the film were decades old and in some cases beyond statutes of limitations.

The release of the documentary reignited debate about systemic abuse in the entertainment industry, particularly in the wake of the #MeToo movement. While Feldman’s claims added to public discussion about exploitation of child actors, authorities did not announce new widespread criminal prosecutions directly resulting from the film’s release.

Feldman has maintained for years that abuse within parts of the industry was widespread, though official investigations have addressed individual cases rather than confirming a coordinated industry-wide criminal network.
