Court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein that were unsealed in early January 2024 included references to former United States President Donald Trump in statements made by witnesses during past legal proceedings. The documents were released as part of a federal court order connected to the civil case involving Virginia Giuffre and Ghislaine Maxwell. The unsealed material contained depositions, correspondence, and previously sealed filings from earlier litigation.

One deposition referenced statements from Epstein accuser Jill Harth, who had previously filed a lawsuit in the 1990s alleging sexual assault involving Epstein and Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. Harth later withdrew the lawsuit against Trump and publicly stated that she did not maintain the allegations against him. The newly released records included historical references to these earlier claims as part of broader testimony collected during the case.

The documents released in January 2024 were part of a batch of filings connected to the 2015 defamation lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre against Ghislaine Maxwell. A federal judge in New York ordered the gradual unsealing of hundreds of pages of records connected to the case. The materials contained references to numerous individuals mentioned during depositions and witness statements related to Epstein’s network and activities.
