Samuel “Mouli” Cohen, an Israeli‑American businessman born in Jerusalem, was involved in multiple investment schemes targeting individual and institutional investors in the United States. Investigations revealed fraudulent misrepresentations, false promises of acquisitions, and diversion of investor funds for personal use.

In March 2017, Cohen was convicted in a U.S. federal court on 15 counts of wire fraud, 11 counts of money laundering, and 3 counts of tax evasion. The charges were related to defrauding investors of tens of millions of dollars over several years.

The court sentenced Cohen to 22 years in federal prison. The case included forensic accounting, extensive documentation of fraudulent transactions, and testimony from victims and experts. Cohen’s conviction is considered one of the largest fraud cases involving an Israeli‑American businessman in the United States.
